I am sure your MW would have bought any potential problems to your attention and arranged a scan. It may just be the way she said it - perhaps she meant baby is small but normal small, so there is still a lot of fluid - which is normal - not all babies fill up the uterous bang on time. I carry a lot of water which is normal for me.
