Is it the same stuff they use at the dentist then? I had never heard of it for labor before joining the forum either.

It's the only pain relief I had in the end and I could still feel everything but felt like I was very drunk. It made me dizzy and sick but I didn't care.

Yeah I think pretty much everyone over here has it!

Apparently it just changes the way you think about the pain. My Auntie told me it was like having your leg chopped off but it being the funniest thing ever. She said kept shouting 'I'LL HAVE A CONSONANT PLEASE CAROL' at the midwife. Im DEFINATELY giving it a go

I've had it for dental work before and it's lovely. I would definitely use it if were available in the US. I won't use anything else. I tried but couldn't find any real reason it's not used in the US. It seems to have less issues than IV narcotics and epidurals. That's the US healthcare system for you

Found this video a couple of weeks ago and laughed so hard I cried. I truly envy those who get to have gas.

I donīt think they have it over here in Spain either. I must ask my MW whatīs the alternative! They have epidurals, but you have to pre-book them.

Is it really the same thing? When I had it I didn't feel the slightest bit like laughing. I just laid there feeling quite spaced out.
