She isn't growing :(

Last week at my 32 week midwife appointment she measured my belly and it turned out to be the same length as at my 28 week appointment so bubs obviously hadn't grown. I've been told to go back for another measurment today. I wasn't worried at first because the midwife said that my baby is going to be small anyway and sometimes the measurements aren't 100% accurate. But now I am getting worried because since saturday LO hasn't been as active as usual. She used to really kick the hell out of me and had started to get into a routine of doing it i.e. she would always be really active from about 5/6 in the morning, then in the afternoon and again at around 11/12 at night. For the last 4 days she hasn't woke me up kicking or kicked at any of the usual times. I can still feel her moving about and I do get the occasional boot but I'm still getting a bit paranoid! Ususally I moan at how much she kicks me but now I wish she would do it more!

I know it could be just due to lack of space or something but it's starting to worry me!

My midwfie has never actually ever measured me! She just goes on where roughly the top should be so try not to worry. I think once they measure etc it doesnt allow for that people and pregnancies are all different.

When i was at 32 ish weeks i got monitored at the hopsital because i didnt feel LO kicking but when i went it was fine and have now realised that my LO just does it differently now and the sensations feel different.....its more like firm poking but in a slow rolly type way if that makes sense......usually its bum poking upwards out of my bump.

If you are unsure then phone your midwife as it wouldnt hurt to get checked.

Thanks makes me feel better! I know what you mean about the movements, that's how I'd describe all she's been doing for the last few days. I have my appointment this afternoon so I'll mention it there

Movement peaks at 32 weeks, after that they just start running out of room.

Try not to worry (as hard as it is!) I think our LO's are not adjusting well to the heat or something as my LO has been really quiet for last 5 days too and at my hosp appt yesterday the first midwife I spoke to measured me nearly 5 weeks behind!
Mention it at your appointment but im sure theres nothing to worry about and LO has maybe just changed position

Good luck at your appt!

Good luck at your appointment - i am sure everything is ok. if they are worried they will arrange a scan and you will get to see your LO again!

Mine's routine changes all the time and he has periods of beating the hell out of me, and then days of lolling about.

Also- try not to worry about the measurements. That happened to me my first time and come to find out somehow the MW had mismeasured a little the appt. before.
