because i can't have a natural (mobile) labour i have been considerin a pool birth because they have mentioned givin me a c-section an i really don't want that! i want to do this without havin to face my fear of needles, they really scare me!

any of you girls been thinkin of it or anyone who has had one before got any advice, bad points + good points too. thanks girls xx

I wouldn't have one purely because I'm a wimp and I know I'm going to want an epi.

i've got muscular scerlosis so i'm a high risk pregnancy or something? who knows haha xx

I think Tilly had a water birth? If I recall rightly she does recommend it.

I went to a water birth talk last thursday and they look fab. I hope to have a water birth if i can but the pool is available on first come first served basis.

I chose to try for the water birth option as i am not very mobile and have joint problems, wont go into too much detail. But the water will take the strain off my joints and hopefully help me get into a better position to have my baby in.

I also recommend you enquire about any talks your hospital might do... they may show you around the suite... it definitely put my mind at ease

You don't have to :-) you can wear what you like in the pool... obviously, given you're not wearing bottoms!
