Unhappy

Getting worried.

I didn't really want to post this because I've always been one of those "why be afraid of the inevitable" people. Alas, as the day gets closer and the dreams get more vivid, (oh and after Saturday nights performance,) I'm starting to worry about how I'm going to handle it. I mean, Saturday was so frusrating. I really thought that was it. I was frustrated because I couldn't get comfortable and I felt soooo sick. Sure the pain went, but it kept coming back and lasting longer. Every time it went I was trying to enjoy the bit inbetween but all I could focus on was that it would be back, and probably worse. 10 minutes felt like 1 minute. I know it wasn't real but, the real thing is going to be abit like that, surely? What if I can't cope with it? What if I completely freak out just like everyone expects me to? What if I really can't do this? Everyones allowed a freak out, right?

You can do it hun, honestly.

There is no need to be a hero about it, if you want painkillers you go ahead and ask for them. But really, you can do it.

Toria, you will be able to do it. I know the unknown can be worrisome but many have done it and I've no doubt you will be able to as well.

I'm starting to feel the same. Keep telling yourself you CAN do it. It's something you've started and have to finish and at the end of it all you'll have a beautiful baby girl

and I agree with Aqua. Epidural all the way lol

You CAN do it. I'm scared as well, but know that when the time comes that it will happen (not much choice really )

Honestly, you can do it. I did it without any meds last time and will be doing it the same way this time. You just have to trust yourself and your body and to remember you won't be in labor forever.

Hypnosis for Birth
I found some hypnosis downloads that are really helping me to prepare this time. I could probably upload them somewhere so you can get them from me. PM me if you want to try it.

I've been feeling the same hun, but lately I've changed my thinking...

I'm now weirdly excited about it, as I want to prove to myself (and my MIL who thinks I'm a wimp at the best of times!!!) that I can do it!

Don't focus on the next contraction, just focus on the one that you are having. That is my plan. Hey, just think, I will be at home, there is not call for an epidural! You can do it love, we all can. One way to help with the nausea, is to get a bowl of ice water, and dip a washrag in it, wring it out, and hold it to your forehead, or your chest or the back of your neck. That can really help.

I know I can do it really. I know I have to do it. I want her to be so happy, so healthy, and so perfect, and I know all I have to do is go through that small bit of pain (that I won't even remember completely) to get that for her. It was just not what I expected. I expected to be completely taken back by the pain when all I could think about was the sickness and frustration. I doubt I'll be any calmer when it's the real thing. I want her here so badly, but I can't deny it anymore...

I am scared!
