I should say that mine was a planned c-section with no labouring beforehand. I think it makes a big difference to the experience.

I think I found it more uncomfortable than painful. Maybe a 5. Take all the painkillers you are offered and hassle the nurses if you think you are due some. Keep taking them when you are home.

Absolutely. You can pick your baby up straight away and they'll have you walking within 24 hours. The recovery is amazingly quick.

Yes. You could try putting a pillow across your tummy and resting your baby on that while you feed. It helped me at first.

Yes as long as you only have a spinal/epidural. If you need a general (unusual) then he won't be.
