Vitamin K for your baby?


Hiya ladies...my midwife has been talking about vitamin K for my baby when he is born and if i would like him to have it and if i would like him to have it in injection form or orally? What are all you ladies going to do? or what have you done in the past? xx

We're going for the oral meds. I don't want her first few minutes to be scarier than they have to be. We're also opting out of the silver nitrate in her eyes until she's a least an hour old.

Orally if i get a choice - there are risks associated with the injection but i dont remember what, What is silver nitrate for?
