40 week appointment!

I can't believe it - tomorrow is my due date! Where has the time gone????

Still no sign of my suprise bundle - no BH, no back pain, no show, no leaking water - nothing really! Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be in a pain, but I want some kind of sign that labour is imminent! Does anyone know if labour can start if I've not experienced any of the above?

My twin sister was induced at 14 days overdue (LO was born the next day) and I know that most first time mums are late, so I'm trying not to be impatient!

My midwife has booked me in for a sweep next Friday. If this doesn't work, they'll do an induction at 12 - 14 days.

Todays appointment went ok - LOs head is still only 4/5 engaged, my heart rate was slightly high at 150/85, urine was ok and LOs heart rate was ok at 128 - 158. Midwife seemed happy enough.

Watch this space - hopefully I won't go too overdue!

4/5 engaged is good though, not all babies engage before labour.

I've always thought that they come when their ready, if they don't come on their own, then their not ready to come yet.

Although I hope she is ready very soon. xx

Yes, you can start labor without any signs. The girl I've been going walking with, she never had a single contraction before she started labor.
