The only thing I've heard about sitting with your legs crossed is that it can cause your ankles to swell some

Oh, I had to give that up a long time ago. Not sure about the old wives tale, but I do know it can put additional pressure on the little veins in your legs and can make it more likely to get varicose veins.

I thought this was something to do with varicose veins?
I physically dont find it comfortable anymore so i dont now.

I'm the worst at sitting with my ankles crossed, I also tend to sit on my feet....when my feet started swelling last week I looked up what to do and what not to do to help with the swelling and those were two big no-nos hasn't stopped me though

I heard that sitting with crossed legs once more than 20 weeks can lead to varicose veins but not sure how much truth there is in it

its getting harder for me to cross my legs too! my thighs look huge
