Thank you

To be honest, it's not a new thing. I've suffered with depression and anxiety since I was 14 or 15 so I was expecting at least something to crop up, but I didn't realise there was such a thing as antenatal depression.

I don't really like to label it though. I think once you get diagnosed with 'depression' you dwell on it and I really don't want to do that. I'd rather think that I'm a bit upset and overwhelmed.

That doesn't makie sense. Ha!

I feel ok, and I'm managing so thats the main thing. I'm sure theres a lot of people who are a hell of a lot worse than I am.

I've been dealing with depression since I was about 8 years old. The docs here aren't very good about dealing with it in pregnancy though. They gave me an old phamphlet with disconnected phone numbers for mental health doctors and when I told them they weren't working they just said, "oh". I'm glad your docs are on top of it for you. I've felt the same way about my LO and I feel horrible for it cause I love her so much. Good luck with everything!

Hun, at least this is something that we are now able to recognize and deal with. A very good friend of mine was put on anti-depressants as soon as her son was born because of her history with depression. It really helped her deal with the whole experience. And she is a fantastic mom, as you will be!!!

I know it's not an ideal situation to be in, but at least you know that there is something goin on that you can hopefully try and deal with before LO is here. Hopefully it will only be whilst you are pregnant and will subside once the baby is born.

At least you've got everyone on here to help you through things if needed. xx

Glad your appointment went well and it's great news that they think the chances of you developing bi-polar disorder after the birth is slim.

Honey sounds like you're having a tough time. I really don't know what to say to you except that you're little one will know you love him, you've kept him warm and snug for all this time.
Damn pregnancy makes us crazy! Or me anyway!

I'm sending you loads of hugs and at least it won't be too long until you meet you bubs! xx xx xx xx
