I had my glucose tolerance test today, it's ok tastes a bit minging but it's ok. Just make sure you take something to read as the time can drag a lil.

im 39 weeks + 5 days and had been getting really REALLY ITCHY hand and feet.

i put it down to hot weather, but then it got worse at night, so i rang my midwife and she said it could be a sign of something more serious so could i go in right away for a blood test.

a blood test revealed that i have something called obstetric cholestasis, a liver disorder where bile acid enters your bloodstream!!!

Normal levels are 15 or less and mine turned out to be 68!!!!!

Ive been put on tablets to reduce it...
and theyre not letting me go overdue and i'm having to be induced in 2days!

There goes my plans of a waterbirthhh!!!!!

Oh no! But, who knows what the glucose tolerance test says. It is not bad, but the two hour waiting in the hospital is boring. And I had all the risks - nearly 40, high BMI, mom has diabetes (she lost both legs to it), etc, etc..But, blood sugar was perfectly fine and yet, I still have a big baby.

sorry to heard about your GD hun.. Im suffering with SPD too and I couldn't imagine the though of my LO being big, it scares me.

Im sure everything will be fine And hopefully you'll get some good news from your results next week!
