Question

Decrease in movement before labour (true)?


Because if it is my LO isn't coming anytime this century. She is more active than ever.

I've read it's true because LO is already in position and also has less room to move so much. Not sure how true that is

I have noticed a change in my LO's movements. It is still very active, but it is so running out of room.

my midwife told me at the weekend that its not true, because i asked her why bump wasnt movin as much as normal an she said it's got nothin to do with my contractions, he was just havin a lazy day. xx

when i went to my parentcraft class last weekend the midwives there said it isnt true.

so im guessing it isnt.

in our area the midwives tell us that the baby should still be following the pattern of movement they have developed and that they do not stop moving before birth starts. she told me a horrible story about what happened to one lady when she thought the lack of movement was 'noraml', i'm not posting that! made me cry! but like the others said, there's less room in there isn't there, so they can't be somersaulting all the time!!!!
