I have got some outfits in 0-3 months but i dont plan on having her wear them straight away, since baby gros are more comfy. She'll be coming home from hospital in a sleep suit

Most of what I've bought are sleepers and onsies (that's what we call them here--not sure what they are called in the UK). Just comfy things for her. Other people have bought her some cute outfits though!

I bought a bunch of outfits - mostly from 3-6 months though, since he's going to grow out of his 0-3 months clothes within a week! And nah, I don't think that it's that uncomfortable for him, I make sure to buy outifits with COZY material inside and out, and booties that are comfy cozy too!

Sorry to butt into this forum but I couldn't resist! When I had LO I got so many gifts of clothes she couldn't even wear some of them once before she grew out of them!!! If you got a big family or lots of friends, expect a huge pile of presents or 2nd hand stuff in tiny sizes and don't forget they grow sooooo fast!!!

PS if there are any BnB membersin my area I have about 5 tonnes of baby clothes to give away for free!!!

On a more practical note, people often don't think to buy ultra soft towels, soft wraps and blankets and bedding.

Good luck to all you 3rd tri girls - I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO envious!!!

We have a few. i thought it would be nice to put him in one when we go out to visit people or something.. I was also worried about him getting too hot in a sleepsuit as he's being born in June. We have quite a few sleepsuits too though for everyday stuff. They look a lot more comfortable.

i agree with you. in the first three months mine will be mostly wearing sleep suits or just baby-gro/ romper suits if it's warm. You can get some nice babygros that are shorts - I've a couple of them for hot sunny days
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...=UTF8&mcb=core

They look like cute outfits to me, and i can always pop a cardie on him.

I'm also trying to aoid jumpers for little ones and go for cardigans instead - much easier for me to get on him. Anything flanelette, cotton or fleecy - the softer the better.

I wont be buying any jeans etc until he's bigger (3+ months I guess) - they just seem to uncomfy for little legs. I want him to feel he has as much freedom of movement as possible.
