Lightening pains?

Ive googled but can't find anything about what it feels like!

The past couple of days I keep getting quite sharp stabbing pains quite low down.. about half way between my bellybutton and the top of my legs if that makes sense. They last about 30 seconds and when I get them they come quite a lot for about 3 hours then stop completely.

Id' never heard of lightening pains before, until supernurse posted about it the other day. Does it sound like that?Would I be able to notice a difference whe his head does engage? It wasn't engaged as of 2 weeks ago so maybe its about time...

Not paritcularaly worried, just curious

I think engagement is also referred to as lightening cause that's the kind of feeling you get as if being struck by lightening.

Its more likely called lightening because you feel "lighter" as your baby drops down
