Apparently I'm in labour!

Last night the contractions came back and they felt very painful. I didn't really know what to do with myself but I timed them with the link that someone gave me yesterday (a great site btw). They were about 4 mins apart and 1 min each. In the end I was so tired that I decided to try and go to bed even if I was in a lot of pain and luckily the contractions wore off so I could sleep.

This morning I was worried as they'd almost completely gone except for the odd mild one & I couldn't feel LO moving so I went to hospital to be monitored. It was a long wait as they'd had something like 19 babies to deliver in the past 12 hours!

Anyway after being monitored for about 20 mins they told me LO seemed fine. I was having contractions still but they were only small and not regular. The MW said I was in labour but it was obviously progressing very slowly. She said it may speed up or it's possible it will go away completely for a few weeks. Then she did and internal examination and said I was actually progressing well & she would expect it to be within the next few days as I'm completely effaced and my cervix wasn't quite where it was meant to be but was almost. I'm only 1-2cm dilated though. She could stick her finger right through and said the membranes were bulging. I guess thats good?!

Then I was sent home to drink lots of raspberry leaf tea, eat some pineapple and have sex although OH is very busy so there won't be any of the latter taking place.

I forgot to say apparently LO is still only 3/5 engaged but that his head is very low. How is this possible?
