I was planning on a home birth but then my haemoglobin levels dropped so I had to go to hospital

- It turned out to be best that way, though so I'll not complain...
My mother had a home birth just a few weeks ago and she said it was the most fantastic birthing experience imaginable - the pains were really manageable and she was so relaxed and felt so in control being in her own setting... The midwife didn't get there in time, though and her partner had to deliver the baby! But that all went really well and I think there's even something really quite beautiful about him being the first to see and hold the baby.
From what I've heard it was everything you'd hope a home birth to be; relaxing, self-controlled and personal

Kinda makes me wish I could have had one... Maybe next time
