I'm Currently Feeling: | Long night..... Last night we had some bad storms move through our area. In other towns, people's homes came off the foundation, there was large hail, talk of tornado's and micro bursts. In my town we just got hit with hail and very hard rain and super windy conditions. It woke us up at 2:00 am because it was so loud. I had a hard time going back sleep, then at 4:00 am I got really sharp pains in my stomach (all over). It hurt so bad and lasted about an hour. I got up and took a Tylenol for the pain. This is the second time I have had sharp pains in my stomach, the other day I went and got checked out at the hospital and they said everything was okay. Will I be feeling this pain a lot throughout the rest of this pregnancy? I was up so much last night that I am just exhausted today and I have to work 8-5 (thank goodness it's Friday). I hope today goes by fast because my stomach still doesn't feel like it should and I just want to go home and lay down. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm a few states north of you, but we had the same thing last night.
Glad to hear you are ok
Are these pains regular? Do they come and go? Or is it a steady pain that won't go away?
If it's a steady pain (have it for a long time and it never lets up), get it checked out again and again if need be. That doesn't seem normal to me unless they attribute it to some uterine growing or ligaments stretching.
If they come and go at regular intervals, and the pain comes and goes the same, you should time it for the duration of the pain (start the timer when you start to feel the pain, stop it when you don't feel the pain anymore.) Then figure out how far apart you are needing to time. More than 6 an hour - get checked out.
Hopefully you just stressed some abdominal muscles somehow. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thank you Margerle. The pain that I felt last night was very sharp pain (kind of a cross between cramps or feeling of a cyst) and it was all over my stomach. It was constant pain so I took a Tylenol and then laid on my left side. After about an hour the pain went away and I finally got a little bit of sleep. Now today, I don't have that sharp pain, but my stomach is uneasy. It's hard to describe how I feel (kind of like period pains in a way). I just want to lay down and see if they go away. What is weird is that on Wednesday I had pains and went to the hospital to get checked out, they said everything was okay. Yesterday, I felt great, like nothing happened. Me and OH went on a walk and everything. Then last night I got bad pains. I hope this isn't a sign that LO is trying to come too early. I spoke to my mom and asked her if any of us was really early and she said my brother came at 8 months. So that kind of scared me cause I'm not ready yet and I don't want LO to come too early, he still needs to be in there longer. I'm going to see how I feel throughout the day, if I don't think something is right, I will go and get checked out.
By the way, is your home and everything okay from the storm? I hope so, it got pretty nasty. |

Thank you Vickie, that was sweet of you. I just feel bad for others, many houses were destroyed and debri everywhere. Many are without power as well. I can't imagine not having a home to go back to, that would be devasting. |
