Discharge Question (TMI)

Alright, went to my doctor's yesterday for my 38-week appointment and found out that my cervix is softening but by no means am I dilated at all. Bummer. He said that my cervix is still closed, but is anterior and is getting ready. Everything else looked good.

My question is this; before the doctor's appointment I used the restroom and as I wiped got this dime-size glob of discharge. It was mostly clear and yellow and resembled snot to me. Then after the doctor's appointment (from yesterday, into this morning) I have been getting the same globs coming out. They are not tinged with blood, they are clear with yellow running throughout them. It doesn't wet my underwear, but instead I notice it more when I go to wipe. What is this? Could it be that I'm slowly losing my mucous plug? I heard that when you slowly lose it, it does not necessarily have to have a bloody tinge to it. I was a little worried that it was amniotic fluid, but it resembles more of discharge/snot and it no where near wets my underpants at all, except for the spot that it lands on from dropping out (haha, sorry tmi). She's been moving great and definitely making the kick counts, so I know she's doing fine.

What do you think?

Sounds like it might be to me! I think them shoving their hand up in there gets things moving a little bit.

I have been having the same thing, I always thought it would be tinged pink or red too. Maybe we are just lucky

I always thought that, too. So I have been on the lookout for a red tinge, but now that I heard it doesn't have to be, I'm kinda like...Oh, well maybe this is it then. Ha! I definitely think when the doc checks things, it does get things moving. I just wish they would move a little faster and I bet you wish the same!

Yeah, I read that somewhere and the discharge that I have is very sticky like "snot." But the reason I was concerned was because it just doesn't have a lot of color (i guess you could say) to it. It's more clear and yellow than anything and for some reason I thought your mucous plug was different. Ehh...I'm sure the doc would have noticed if something was wrong when he examined me yesterday. Anyway....hoping this is the plug I'm losing, so that things get started. Hehe!
