Hi everyone, first day here and I've been getting some sharp shooting pains, very randomly in my 'lady bits' (sorry don't know how else to put it!)

They come and go and are just quite uncomfortable - is this BH ?

My BH feel like LO is curling up into a little ball in one area....a tightening in one spot. I've had the sharp shooting pains down there too occassionally, but they're not the same as BH. (I don't think)

For me BH are not sore just a wee bit uncomfortable it's like clenching your stomach muscles or sqeezing your belly in though I have heard they vary and can feel different to each person!!

Yes, your bump will go hard and sometimes I get flushed and out of breath.

A contraction will usually have a low period like pain and early BH's do not have this... though later term BH's can have this.

You usually get them when you have a stimulous of some type. I get them when someone plays with my belly button, when I walk up a flight of stairs, or when I've been shopping/on my feet for a long time (Oh, and when I'm dehydrated).

They will go away upon drinking, and lying down or taking a bath.

Mine feels like I shoved a basketball under my skin, it gets so hard! My whole belly gets rock hard and tight and sometimes kinda misshapen looking. And sometimes it feels like my organs are getting smooshed.

mine are the same as the girls above. Yours dont sound like BH, They could just be growing pains tho - or stretching. Mention it to you MW when you next see her, but i would day it is nothing to worry about!

I have that I told my doc that it feels like a needle is being poked at my cervix. He just checked me for dialation and then said it probably was just the baby resting against a ligament. I don't know I think it might be the cervix loosing up a little bit either that or just too much weight resting on it from the baby. Just tell your doc or mw so they can check you.

I think what I've been having sounds a lot like what your explaining - like a tight feeling in one part of my bump or across the bottom if it, tends to go after a min or so. Not sure about the shooting pains but haven't had any today so maybe it's just stretching?

i've only just begun to notice bh contractions and it is an odd sensation because i get no pain, just a sudden brief involuntary tightening of my whole bump. i know it's not just LO pushing out because it becomes tight all the way across and hard and during them i can't "feel" LO if that makes sense lol. i have also however begun to get a few needle like pains in my pelvis very low and i've just brushed it off as regular stretching/pressures from baby. if you are still concerned i would still inquire about it just in case

Some of my BH have been where my belly goes very tight and other times it feels like period pains.
