Baby moving less

From yesterday afternoon all through the night and this morning too he hasnt been moving nearly as much. I have been doing kick counts and he makes them, but it takes him forever to do the 10 kicks, much longer than it used to. I have to kinda nudge him to move a bit. It is true that they move less just before labor?? Do you think I should call my doctor even though he is making his kick counts?

He normally moves a decent amount during the night and last night I couldnt get him to move, I couldnt fall asleep cause it was worrying me so I went down to the couch at 1am and drank some hot cocoa and he moved a bit after that, but still not like normal. So I couldnt sleep half the night... Im so tired!

My LO wasn't moving much in the last 2 days, but if you're worried I would definately call your doctor!!! Better safe than sorry.

Maybe see how tonight goes. If he's making the counts then i'm sure everything is fine, just as jess says her LO was quieter the last couple of days.

No harm phoning your doc though just to ease your mind. x

You must rest now...your LO can come any moment now and you need all energy for the birth. Your cramps will indicate labour.

Mine had a day like that a couple of days ago and it really worried me because he's not had a slow day in months. Hopefully it's a sign your LO is about to show up.... and about time too!

Well its been a few hours and he has been moving a little more. Still not like he has been but I will just keep seeing how it goes throughout the day and keep counting his movements. Thanks everyone. I didnt know if it was a myth or wifestale that the baby moves less before labor or not.

I just noticed you were due 2 days ago. I also think I heard somewhere the LO moves less right before labour. But, I think you should call someone just to be sure. Good luck!

Its strange me reading this as i had the same thing yesterday his movements really decreased i phoned the mw at 10pm and they told me to go straight in to be checked and had to have a scan today , it would be funny if we had them on the same day it could be a sign but its best to make sure xxx
