Is 2/5 the same as -2 station?? Thats what I am. I havent heard it referred to as 2/5 but that would make sense. I think the baby can drop pretty significantly in a short amount of time. I was -4 station at 38 weeks and at 40 weeks I am -2. Thats pretty low in the pelvis, especially for 35 weeks! Hopefully your LO will come early!

My god, i'm scared now. I just hope that LO finds it comfy enough to stay down there for the next 4/5 weeks and NO less.

I see the midwife after my scan next week so we'll see if it's the same or not. I always think that every midwife tells a different story, it seems a bit low for my stage.

I'm not too sure about the station thing, it's all very technical isn't it?

I just got back from my 34 week appt and the notes say that the baby is 3/5 palpable. That means I'm 2/5 engaged, right? GP didn't say a word about it to me! I'm 34 weeks, so is that early? I don't want this baby to come any earlier (or later) than her due date. Doesn't give her much of an option other than to come out on time, does it? I have a lot to get done before she decides to come out!

I think Sam's been carrying low her whole pregnancy, and has probably had partial engagement of her baby since early on.

Engagement doesn't necessarily mean labor is imminent, baby may decide to descend to make more room for late term growth (and there's A LOT).

Your doc or MW will keep an eye on everything for you. Though no one knows exactly when labor will start, there's a couple of physiological cues to it, and they are trained to keep an eye out for those cues. Just make sure you report anything that is really out of the ordinary (pain, increased and regular BH's, any wonky looking discharge, etc.)
