Im trying to find an NHS dentist in my area but theres nothing, and I really can't afford to go private so it's not really an option until I find somewhere thats taking new NHS patients.
Thanks in advance

I know what you mean about finding a nhs dentist.
I was very lucky at the beginning of my pregnancy a bit of my tooth broke off and i was in agony so i phoned nhs direct and they gave me a number for the local dental helpline. They got me in the next day local to get it treated etc then upon seeing my teeth (havn't been for 6 years and had to have intravenous valium previously for all work) and realising i was phobic they sent me to a nhs phobic specialist dentist. It takes an hour on the bus to get there but well worth it!
When i was there last time they did recommend a mouthwash i could use that deals with any bleeding gums etc but i forgot the name of it

.....ill try and post it if i find it.
Anyway you are entitled to all this free work so my point is that i think you should contact nhs direct for them to give you your local dental helpline number and start saying that the bleeding gums are making them puffy etc and really lay it on thick so you get seen. Or have you got a tiny niggly tooth that you could pretend is worse?? its worth a go......worked for me!
Let us know how you get on
