changing station OR a ordinary bath tub and changing mat??

Ladies...which one have you all bought? I was thinking of buying the changing station where there is a bath and changing mat and different shelves for me to put all the toiletries...however some people say its easier getting a changing mat and a bath tub that you can take out and put away when u need it.

(i have posted a similar post in the product reviews section hoping someone could tell me from their experience but im not having much luck!)

I bathe my kids in the sink on a foam thingy, and use a couple of towels on a surface when I'm dressing and changing.

Here's the foam thingy... it scrunches down to fit whatever size sink you need, or it will sit on the bottom of a regular bathtub too.

We don't have a bathtub (just a shower) and we have very limited space for additional furniture.

$5 US

I have opted for the following:

I goes in the bath. I like that it is soft, and dries quickly. It folds and is easier to travel with. Plus it was not expensive. I just don't want to start out with a lot of baby clutter. If I feel I need a little bath tub, I can get one later.

I was told not to buy a changing station as they grow so fast and it would not be worth it in the end.My sister just puts a towel on her bed and changes the baby.Works well enough.
There are so many options for bathing these days. I'm sure you will find something that will suit you and your LO.

We're getting this:

I cheated and checked my registry and someone bought it.
DH and I liked it cause it keeps fresh water in and dirty water out...here's the description:
Quote:
Bringing a fresh approach to infant bathing, this Clean Water Infant Tub from 4moms features a unique design that enables running faucet water to create a gentle circulating flow within the tub, cradling your baby in clean, warm water. The fast responding, built-in digital thermometer makes it easy to set and maintain a comfortable water temperature so your baby stays warm throughout bathtime. The water-resistant backlit display is color coded to indicate when the water is cold (blue), warm (green) or hot (red). A graphic Comfort Zone, which is part of the display, and audible high temperature alerts take the guesswork out of monitoring the water temperature. It features the additional benefits of sidewall drains through which dirty water is continuously expelled and a contoured bottom that enabless the tub to be used in single- and double-basin sinks and all bath tubs.
We have a changing table for in the nursery.

Some of those tubs look neat!

I never had a changing table with my prior kids and pretty much just laid a towel under them while changing. No money was wasted and everything worked out fine.

At the same time, they do have some real neat playpens now that have a hanging mobile, bassinet and also a changing place that can be taken off as baby grows.

Looks like I will be getting one of these
