how much swelling is too much?

so for the past week or so i've been waking up in the mornings with sore feet and hands because they are so swollen! i drink tons of water throughout the day and even at night and when i wake up during the night to try not to be dehydrated in mornings and i try elevating my hands and feet but nothing seems to be helping. is there ever a point at which i should be concerned? even my knees are beginning to ache and my feet and fingers just always feel so tight. LO is still being very active so i'm not worried as far as that goes, but my dr. thinks i may be at risk for pre-e because i've had consistently high bp and protein in my urine.

is anyone else swelling already? from personal experience do you think it'll only get worse?

I never got any swelling in my hands, only my feet (mostly ankles). They do say that it can be dangerous when you have swelling in your upper extremities and can be connected with pre-e.
And it really gets worse later on. I only started swelling at about 37 weeks, and on the day of my induction I was convinced my feet were gonna explode.

Hey hun...well i not so long ago did a thread on a similar thing as this. My feet have been getting swollen since around 22 weeks i am now 37 weeks and my hands have been extremely swollen, so swollen that i can close them or hold anything, i was really concerned however got told i have carpel tunnel...its still painful but i was told it would go in good time... Do talk to your midwife or GP in regards to this, even if its nothing at least it gives you peace of mind Takecare babex

I'm pretty sure they can't explode lol but that is how mine feel currently. How long after you had ur LO did the swelling subside?
