| I had gone to my doctor's apt. that day and my BP was elevated, so my dr. wanted me to go to L&D to be monitored and have blood work drawn to check for Pre-E. All labs came back good, and my BP even went down while I was laying down. The Dr. talked about putting me back on bedrest to control the BP for at least a couple more weeks. However, she then looked at my contractions...how they were measuring. I was having hard contractions every 4 minutes. I didn't think anything of it....because I have had them SO often. She gave me medicine to try to stop them...it didn't work. They were every 2 min. before we knew it...but, I started having pain on my old c-section incision. So, the team was quickly called in to do a repeat c-section (which I had planned on anyway). By the time I went back to the OR my contractions were only one minute apart...and VERY strong!!!
It was quick and a little scary, but SO worth it!! He is just AMAZING! Good luck to all of you!
Oh, and we're not home yet....probably tomorrow. He didn't even require oxygen  . |
