work is getting to me

I'm not sure if it's because I'm tired or because I'm hormonal but work seems to be stressing me out.....I could go on matnerity leave in 6 weeks time. I had hoped to stay another 7 or 8 but to be honest I'm now really considering getting out as soon as I can. They've not sorted out my replacement yet...thats another thing thats stressing me out - it seems to have been left to me--..I just dont seem to have the patience for all the politics and office nonsense. I feel really easily stressed and bad tempered!!!!
Anyone else finding work tough?

I'm quite the opposite at the moment. Although I find work makes me really tired and some evenings by the time I have to cash up I really wish I could just be in bed already, work is keeping my mind on things other than the birth.

I don't know how I'd cope with maternity leave now - just sitting around with not a lot to do, counting down the days. I'd drive myself mad!!

My friend went on maternity leave at 35 weeks and said she has the same problem. She just couldn't find enough to do to fill her days and instead was obsessing about when her LO would arrive.

Saying that though, I'm no good at work anymore. Pregnancy brain makes me forget everything, I can't bend over, I get tired very quickly & I often just stand there wondering what I'm meant to be doing. I must be a real nightmare to work with.

I did for exactly the same reasons as you before they get my temp in. I was bricking it... Ive not even been here a year yet and I was having to train someone to do my job, because no one else knows how to, and I only had 3 wks training myself! It was very stressful. Along with office polotics as you say. But I wont go into that lol

5 days left over here and I cannot wait.

6 weeks seems like forever now but it'll fly by

yep...have been counting down the days since 12 weeks to my leave; still have 22 working days but my head just isn't here!

I feel like it gets more demanding the closer I get!...just think though you have got to 28 weeks and this is the home stretch.

Also cover is not your responsibility, that is kind of their problem to be frank...you have enough to worry about.

hope you feel better soon pet

I've been getting stressed too, my replacement used to work here before and now he's back to do my job so I'm training him up but it's driving me mad. It's my desk don't touch stop!!! Well that's what I keep thinking, I can't work whilst he's here cos he's sitting at my desk with me watching, helping himself to my gum or biscuits.

May 30th couldn't come quick enough!

xx

My temp is ok, he's just taken all my work so I have NOTHING to do all day!

Which sounds alright, but it makes the day drag and it's not easy to make yourself look busy for 8 1/2 hours

i am totally stressed out atm. I actually only have 6 and a half days left but due to unforseen circumstances things have gone very pear shaped. I am snatching a moment on here whilst eating my sandwich. I am so busy i wish i would just get ill or something so i didn't have to come in, i just wonna run away and hide, i totally dont feel up to the workload

At least if i was doing my own job, i'd know what i was doing but its more stressful the fact that most of this is guess work!!!
