Antenatal course....

HIya, yeah I'm off to the antenatal course today. Should be interesting...

Well, im back from the first day of the class...and have to say some of it was rather good! The massage techiniques shown were good, and info was good if i hadnt read every book known to a pregnant woman haha.

Though, we went on the maternity tour...I got very upset afterwards - which embnaressed my OH as i was crying, only quietly no whimpering but tears and red faced. He asked what was wrong, i just said ill tell you later, and left it at that to which he wasnt impressed.

Got home and he was still shitty, tried to tell him how i felt and got all emotional again! Which he says i shouldnt tell him if i get upset again! But i told him i cant help it. The thing that got me going was, we went through the birthing centre, the wards of birth and the after ward. NOT ONCE DID I HEAR A BABY! or see a smiling mw! It was dark, well to hot and tbh not what i imagined, there was nobody even on recovery smiling, and maybe that was me getting all deluded, but i still feel the same now

That would have upset me too hun. Is this the only hospital you can use or are there others to choose from?

im due in 3 and haf weeks, so its a mess up if i have to change as all my notes are there etc, its just realy depressed me tbh regards the wards, i dont know if i deluded myself about it, but just seemed like there was no life to it, total opposite surely should be the case! No bright colours, not even a smiling MW surely thats wrong! I dont know. Others may have seen it as what it is but this was Hope Hospital - manchester. Brill reviews, but to me it was dingy and dark, ando not a very happy place
