what do braxtons feel like?


hi all might sound a bit silly but I've got a achey feeling that keeps coming and going across the top of my bump it's not painful just uncomfortable and doesn't feel like tightenings could it be braxton hicks?? x

if you touch your tummy when you get them is it hard?

no not really when I stood up it felt a little tighter than normal but nothing major they seem to have gone now x

Hmmm, i'm not too sure myself tbh as not had any to my knowledge but thought it feels tighter to touch, like a contraction. sorry i can't be more help x

For me, BH's are high on the bump and feel a bit like the baby is arching or pushing it's back out wards. They arent usually painful although if it's your first it's hard to judge that. the main difference for me between BH and labour contractions is the position. The real deal start much lower down for me.

yeah these are really high up by the top of my ribs I'm not worried as they arn't painful but I thought it was meant to get tight and bump hasn't been really but they have stopped now bahhhh I haven't got a clue lol x

It can go tight but TBH I dont always notice mine go hard every single time

They do sound like it and as you get further on you may find that your bump does tighten more. It's a muscle after all so it's getting stronger with each little exercise it does
