My Beautiful Princess Is Here!!! :D

Just to let you all know, my beautiful baby girl Lily May, was born on Tuesday 16.03.2010 at 9.06am weighing a healthy 8lb 6oz

I was having contractions from the Sunday evening, went up to the birthing unit & the midwife told me it was most probably going to be a long labour because of how baby was lying (back-to-back) So i went back home, until i was further along.
Then, at about 2.30am on Tues morning, i was getting extremely painful contractions & decided to go to the delivery unit. Once there, the midwife told me i was 4cm. By about 7am, i was in so much pain i asked for an epidural (which i'd hoped i wouldn't need) But the anaesthetist was in surgery so i had to wait, so while waiting i had gas & air.
The next thing i knew, i had the urge to push & when the midwife checked, i was fully dilated!! So now, it was to late for an epidural & i had no choice but to carry on with gas & air!!
After just 30 mins of pushing, out came my beautiful baby girl

I tore quite bad & lost a lot of blood once Lily was out, which wasn't nice as i had about 10 doctors & midwives around me & all i wanted to do was hold my baby. So i was so happy to finally have her in my arms...even now, 3days later, i can't stop staring at her!

Aww congrats hun. Sorry you had a rough labour. She's all worth it tho i'm sure!

Oh, she was most defiantly worth it...I think it's still sinking in that she is actually here!
