Erratic baby movement! Anyone else excperienced this?? :(

Ok.. so I am almost 31 weeks pregnant and everything is going great so far. My little girl is very active and I'm always feeling her kick and move about. However I've just been lying on the couch and for about five minutes her movement was, what I can only describe as "erratic". It was quite a shock. She started kicking and moving really quickly and suddenly, almost in crazy, jerking movements! Has anyone else experienced this? She has settled now and I have felt her kick a little since, but I am still worried!

i get this all the time its almost feels like baby is gonna come out of my belly lol or is just moving to fast

ive been getting this recently (im 28+2) and i had it with my other little boy too

is it like a shuddering?? or mad hiccups in succession its strange isnt it. I havent a clue what it is lol but i think its just normal part of their movements etc

I've had this too! Glad i'm not alone! I actually mentioned to my mw that it feels like she is having a fit in there sometimes lol. I don't remember this type of movement last time round but i'm guessing that its normal as a few of us are getting this sort of movement x

I get this too... She does it quite a bit! Shuddering would explain it well! It's like she shimmies and then kicks a bit... =/ Weird. I was a bit concerned too, I actually mentioned to DH that I was worried she was having a seizure at times!!

By the sounds of it a few other people experience a similar thing though, so it's probably just another weird but normal thing.

This is baby number 4 for me and i have it with this one too. I can remember having it with the other 3 boys aswell so im quessing its pretty much normal.

I get this too! I'm glad you posted because although I wasn't very very worried, these movements disconcerted me a bit. I've taken to calling my baby 'Thumper' like the little rabbit out of Bambi because I'll get a succession of kicks which are so quick and definite. With the amount of posts in response to this I think it's a normal thing :-D
