Heavily pregnant and going out?

Hi girls just looking for some opinions and advice really....

Just got a phone call from a close mate who recently moved away very suddenly! Its actually her neice/nephew im carrying just now. Shes coming down for the night and really wants me to go out with her for a few late leaving drinks. My sons at his dads till tuesday and im completely on my own and bored so debating if i should just go.

Wont be touching a drink! And its only our local, no clubs or anything. 2 mins from my house if i get too tired. But now im 38weeks gone i dont know if people will be judging me?
How would yous feel if you saw someone heavily pregnant in a pub? Or would you go out yourself? Dont know what to do!

Go for it hun if you feel comfortable. I've been going out as much as I can, with friends and with DH, as I know those outings will be few and far between soon. I hate this notion that pregnant ladies must sit at home and wait patiently for labour day. Go and have fun!

I went out when i was 38weeks exactly with my DD, she was born the next day :P It was for my little sisters 18th so i couldnt really say no. I didnt drink and went home about 10.30 but the amount of looks i got from strangers was ridiculous! Im not gonna just sit and home 'in case baby arrives'

This LO is due 6days after my OHs birthday and if im feeling well and up to it i'll again be going to the pub for his birthday and let them gawp if they wanna! It wont do you or the bubs any harm to go out any enjoy yourself!

I'd go for it!!

The only time I've judged a pregnant lady (and sorry if I cause offence) was when I went to the pub for my friends birthday the other week and another of her pregnant friends came along (shes a week ahead of me) and she was drinking "half pints cuz thats allowed" - her words not mine (but the amout she was drinking was rediculous!!) and whilst drinking she was lovingly stroking her bump!! - made me feel sick!!

Go out and have fun while you can!! It will be my birthday 5 days before my EDD and I shall be going out and having fun (as long as baby doesn't show up early!)

Thanks girls! Think ill just go for it, worked in a bar all through my first pregnancy so it aint much different really. Was just worried people might frown upon it some people are so closed minded these days! Now ive just to find something nice that still fits!
