Day at the hospital.

I dont know if you read my post last week about being sore/uncomfortable & a bit damp down below........well I had my 28 week checkup with my midwife today & she examined me as normal & then sent me straight up to the hospital..I have been having strong contractions on & off since last Thursday & I thought they were just braxton hics...but nope unfortunetely (sp) they are the real thing...my cervix is also slightly open.

I have been given strict orders to rest, rest & more rest. If the contractions become regular I have to go straight up & they will keep me in!!

On the good side they are 90% sure my dates are wrong & that I am actually 31/32 weeks & the baby is a great size!!

The doctors words to me as I was leaving where major rest for the next 6 weeks & then we can let the baby come out by that time she will be sitting in there with her arms crossed & will not rush out. This made me smile for the 1st time today!!

So fingers & legs crossed she stays put for another 6 weeks!!

Sorry to hear you've had this scare - and that you need to cross yer legs and keep yer feet up - I can imagine being ordered to rest like that can be quite frustrating.

I'm sure bubs will be fine... Just try to rest up like the doc said; take good care of yourself and good care of baby will naturally follow from that.

If born now your baby would have a 95% chance of survival, so try to relax and just see how things go.

Sending you lots of sticky dust and hugs, You and baby will be just fine

Ah sorry to hear the end of your pregnancy is gona be a worry stage, but like tasha said, babies have a good survival rate from 28 weeks onwards, and considering there sure they had the dates mixed up everything will be fine! Good luck and try and enjoy your rest rest and more rest!

I'm so sorry to hear what a bad day you've had!! What a nightmare!

A bit of a difference though if you're 31 / 32 weeks! Wow that would be great, getting to see your little girl even earlier!

Make sure you get your feet up and take things really easy!

Thinking about you honey xx xx
