anyone had experience with tramadol??

So, since i was 29 weeks i have been in constant pain as i have a blood clot/large blood vessel behind my placenta which is causing the pain.

now im 37 weeks by a few minutes, im really worried as i have been taking tramadol frequently and know there can be some sie effects but cant be properly known till hes born.

now that im 37 weeks, ive got a scan today(friday) its 00.03 here so tecnically friday to make sure baby is growing fine and to make sure my blood clot hasnt grown or causing any more problems.

do u think i will be cheeky asking if they can induce me ????????as im really worried about the effect of the tramadol is making on him inside me.
i got a clinic appointment to see if they will induce me as they didnt think i would get this far, so im feel so blessed already.
i just feel like now he will be better if he wasnt dosed up on tramadol

i dont mean to come across selfish as it might seem like it, i dont mind the constant pain but im worried about when i take tramadol the effects if any are on my baby.

im the same i have 2 take codeine tablets and worried . but dr's wouldnt tell me to take them if they was bad for baby i dont think. still a worry though but it helps with the pain and i wouldnt be able to cope without them.

as for tramadol my sister had pancreatitis when she was having my neice my sister was on the strongest tramadol u can have rite through the pregnancy 4 times a day. my neice was born slightly adicted to them but was easy sorted and did her no harm what so ever. my neice is now 4 and completely fine a little devil but a healthy happy devil hehe, did her no harm what so ever try not to worry xx.

I didnt know you were allowed to take a painkiller as strong as tramadol while pregnant

i always have been told to take paracetamol for the pain am having due to the alignment in my pelvis being out of place, am currently 35+5 & it was only 2 weeks i got prescribed co-codamol for the pain but had to be assesed 1st before it was prescribed to i just checked on safefetus.com there no trying to scare u or anything hun far from it but here is what i found

Not teratogenic in animals but fetotoxic at high doses causing decreased fetal weight, skeletal ossification, increased super numerary and transient delay in developmental and behavioral parameters.
Crosses human placenta.
Human data is lacking but when compared with meperidine for labor analgesia, fewer maternal side effects and lower neonatal respiratory depression had been reported.

well they left her 3 days to see if she would just ween of them natrally, when she still wasnt weened of it natrally . they gave her some sort of weening off injection for 2 days and then she was fine. but when i say adicted its nothing bad, all it was is my neice found it hard to settle and was abit agitated. she wasnt ill or sick or anything like that. it really wasnt anything bad its not like a baby comming off real drugs or anything bad .

it depends they only prescibe these stronger painkillers if its really needed when pregnant. i know for a fact that if my sister wasnt on them my neice wouldnt be here 2day ,she was only able to hold off her opperation due to the painkillers. they would never give real pain killers such a tramadol for spd.
