Stretch marks??

Hi

I think my bump is quite big now but I haven't got any stretch marks.........yet!

I am 28wks at mo does anyone on here have them yet? and if so when did they start to appear??

I don't think I will be lucky enough to not get them I was just wondering when to really start expecting them. I use bio-oil every day although i'm not sure that will make a difference.

Thanks

I started getting them around 30 weeks and even though Ive used bdy lotion, coco butter and bio oil I've got loads now!

If those things are supposed to help I'd hate to see how bad the were without!

Lol I've read if you're gonna get them then u will as creams/lotions don't go deep enough in skin.

Oh well fingers crossed!!

I'm the same as you, I check daily & have always used body cream even before pregnancy, but I think if you're gonna get them there's nothing you can do to prevent them, but every little may help!! I've got a few that I had before pregnancy, so I know I'm not immune, there's still a lot of stretching to do me thinks!!

Good luck

I'm really wondering when mine will show up. I know I'm prone to them as I have loads of old ones from being overweight and from puberty...but no new ones yet. I lost around 100lbs in the 2 years before becoming pregnant so I'm wondering if my old skin will just accomodate most of the stretching I'll be doing.
I use some basic vitamin E lotion every day to keep the itchies down, but wasn't really thinking prevention, just comfort.

I'm 30 weeks on Mon and I have got them on my sides, underneath my boobs, one on my bum and a couple on my inner thighs.. I've had them 4/5 weeks now. The ones on my sides are the ends of old silvery ones tearing

My mum got HUGE and went overdue by 1 week 1 day and didn't get any...I'm hoping that I'll be able to avoid them! I only just started to get a proper bump though... There are some marks on one of my boobs that look suspiciously like the start of minor stretchies... Ah well!

Not much you can do if you're gonna get them - just drink plenty of water and moisturise as it'll help your skins elasticity...

xx
