Hello Ladies,

I had my 28 week appointment with my consultant, got there nice and early, handed my purple notes in, done a sample, had my blood pressure taken and then sat and waited for over 2 hours! The consultant didn't turn up and we had to wait for an on call doctor to arrive, wow glad I had my iphone with me!

Anyway when I was seen I noticed in my notes that my blood pressure was 130/83 which I know isn't high, but for me that has jumped up all of a sudden, mine is always around 100/50 and at the most 110/65 which is naturally a little low, but normal for me. Plus I had + protein in my sample.

It feels a bit like groundhog day, this was how all my problems started last time, my bp just started to creep up slowly, + then ++ protein in my samples, 24 hour urine collections, in and out of hospital, overdue by 6 days, great delivery then collapase with a multiple clots in my right lung, amazing high bp after delivery, on meds to bring it down, blah blah blah.

I just can't believe its gone up all of a sudden, its been SO LOW until now!! I was literally in shock when I saw that reading!

Just wanted to vent some frustration, god know why my body can't just be normal and do this making babies thing without complications!!

Don't really know what to say hun - but just keep an eye on yourself. You know your own body, so if you are concerned, try and speak to the health professionals again. Did they mention anything about it to you at the appointment?

Yeah, well, I only noticed it because I saw the doctor circle it, so I asked if she was concerned by it because it's not really high, but she said because of my history and that she wants my MW to monitor it weekly from now on.

Strangely enough my MW was about after my appointment and she asked me how it went and I told her about it so she said make sure you come to see me next wednesday, which of course I will, I'm hoping it goes down a bit.
