totally OT but worried:(*update 1st post*

My husband and our roommate are fighting. My roommate was going to move out, but I convinced her to stay until after my mat leave to help out...now I feel like if my husband isn't happy for the next year because of her its all my fault.

Shes just gotten kind of bossy and rude with him.....

He has been depressed last 2 days and said its because she forgets he has feelings. She takes "jokes" too far and becomes hurtful.

When I asked him if I could talk to her, he said no. However...today I did anyway. I just couldnt sit around and watch him be so depressed!

Anyway she took it well and said she will work on it. I text him and told him that I have talked to her even though he didnt want me to. I said please dont be mad...

his lunch break is in half an hour then he will see my text. Im super nervous that Ive now started a fight between him and me also I really hope not because right now I couldnt stand it if he was mad at me!

*Update*

He isnt mad at me. Still upset and mad at her, and depressed. Dont want to get into it because its someone else's personal business but linked to this...a friend of his has now taken off and is depressed and possibly suicidal.

My husband is depressed and in a bad mood and I cant help him. Im an awful wife.

I think you did the right thing by talking to her, after all, you're friends and you were trying to make the living situation better for you all which isn't unfair.
Hopefully your husband won't be mad, I'd be surprised if he was.
Maybe suggest a dinner where you can all sit down and talk about things and how you're all feeling and where things are headed?
Bottling things up doesn't help and I think trying that approach might be good for all of you.

xxxx

Maybe he's just stressed out and letting things get to him that normally wouldn't? Men can get way more sensitive about things when they are stressed. I know my DH takes things way more personal when he's depressed or stressed and I just have to wait it out and let him have his mood because it eventually passes. I swear I think men get PMS just like we do.
