Birthing Ball

I'm considering buying a birthing ball.. But I was just wondering.. Can it be a normal normal gym/exercise ball or does it HAVE to be a birthing ball??

Sorry if that's a really stupid question ... It just seems to me that anything with the word "Maternity" or "Birthing" cost 10 times more than it would if it wasn't baby related

Hi,

I just bought one from Argos and it was £6.99. Does the job although takes some pumping up!

The pump they supply with it will take you until the baby is born so I js=ust used a foot pump.

They do a cheaper one too at £4.99 but the pro sport one had better reviews.

I got mine yesterday from Argos for £4.99 it was in the exercise section but i'd say the most exercise was pumping the flippin thing up

Just seen the one in sports direct.. I'm sure that will do the job... I'm not picky but it's a shame they don't do the pink one for a fiver

Once they're on the outside, the balls are extremely useful for helping gassy babies toot or getting them to sleep! It's also something very active to do while getting them to sleep. I find I'm a lot less frustrated while bouncing if he's screaming.

Good luck with your L&D.
