i think that your baby is fine. i'm a teacher and can relate 2 what u say. most days i leave school and think OMG i haven't felt baby move but when i am at home he makes himself known! try not 2 stress. i thought that reduction in foetal movement was the marker 4 a problem, never heard of it being the other way around!!!

I asked the hospital because the baby was moving regularly, every few seconds, for up to an hour,a nd I thought of hiccups but I had a horrible feeling it was seizures. She said you can't have a baby that moves too much. If the baby is moving his/her brain is functioning right and he/she has enough oxygen to keep her limbs moving. Don't be concerned honey, your baby is fine as long as you feel any movement, and lots is an amazing sign. Only worry when you feel under 10 kicks a day. x

I'm a teacher too and can relate to what you are saying. When I'm at school I don't really feel the baby move unless I'm sitting down which as you know doesnt' happen very often. As soon as I'm relaxed and sitting I feel my little one all the time. I've had a very active baby from as early as 18 weeks kicking and moving around all the time. Don't worry xxx

There is no such thing as moving to much Also all babies have periods of quiet time/awake times just as they do once they are born. I wouldn't worry at all!

Thanks very much ladies for all the lovely replies. I thought the same as you that all movement is good. I had a busy day today and haven't felt baby move as much as the other days but as soon as I got home and sat down he/she started moving loads again! Fab I love it.

i get monitored 2 times a week at the hospital (gd) and the lady said they can't move to much! a moving baby IS a happy baby! the baby is probably happy that you will have more time to relax and pay attention to them

You are right to relax and enjoy your squirmy baby! No such thing as too much movement. When I was working on my feet all day I would almost never feel my babies moving around. It's not until I sit and relax a minute that I would feel them. The more time I spend at home resting, the more I feel my little babies. That's completely normal. It's not only that you moving around causes you not to feel the movements as much, but also moving around can be very calming and rock baby to sleep. My babies seem to sleep when I am up and about and as soon as I lay down to rest my belly starts up....frustrating when you want to sleep, but still wonderful to feel them kicking around in there.
