I have some ittis which you mainly get in plain colours but there are some limited additions in strawberry, cow print, zebra print etc. They tend to cost about £13-14 each, but you can get 5 for £60 on ebay (brand new) or you could try clothnappytree or natural parenting here, to buy some preloved ones.

Blueberrys are a massive hit as well and they are quite expensive at about £22 a nappy, or you can get package deals.

WeeNotions do some great nappies and you can add personalised embroidery to them. Prices range from something like £10 to the £20s depending what you buy.

You can buy blueberry wraps for £15 and put them over a cheap plain white nappy, but by the time you've bought everything including the wrap, you may as well have bought the entire nappy as a blueberry if that makes sense! They are quite bulky so I don't think people tend to favour them until babies are several weeks old.

You then have to consider the cost of inserts (for pocket nappies) liners (fleece or disposable) and boosters if you have a heavy wetter, but cost is minimal. I recommend a site called fill your pants for things like that. Really reasonable prices.

Use a google search to find good deals on the nappies, and become a lurker in natural parenting, ask questions in there etc. Really helpful.

There are other funky nappies out there. You just take a look at the fluffy bum pics in natural parenting to get ideas of which ones you like.

Oh and don't forget that you can sell on your nappies when you have finished with them. Blueberrys cover birth to potty, but ittis and others like them are small, medium, large so you have to swap them or sell them and buy bigger ones. You can get at least 2/3 of your money back on the nappies when you come to sell them. I am also using reusable wipes. I have cheeky wipes for use at home and some cheapy cotton wipes for out and about.

I have:
5 ittis
5 little lambs with wraps (boring white but fine for under clothes)
10 motherease with rikki wraps which were gifted to me on freecycle (again boring white)
1 flip from bumgenius in a lovely green colour. It's great as I have loads of inserts so can use the same outer several times and just wash the inserts.
1 normal Bumgenius in yellow
1 fuzzibunz in purple with daisy flowers on it
1 wonderoo in a greeny colour
1 tots bots (white)

I'm going to get some blueberrys and some more ittis I think. When she outgrows the bum genius, wonderoo, little lambs etc, I will get some WNs and other funky nappies. For now tho I will just stick to those I think.

Also have a look at babylegs and huggalugs. Really cool for wearing instead of trousers to show off the nappy!

I'm gonna be a fluffy bum mum too and I've gone for tots bots bamboozles in rainbow colours. Have a look at the buy swap and sell as I bought all mine on here brand new and for half the price as in shops. I've also got a lot of bambino mio, which you fold yourself, but they have funky wraps to go over them. Try asking on the natural parenting forum too Hun as they are cloth bum gurus!! LOL x

I've mostly got BumGenius, Itti's and a few Naughty Baby cheapie ones from eBay which have had good reviews. I'm planning on using disposables for at least 4-6 weeks as I know it's going to take that long to get into a routine and hopefully ensure BFing is going really well. Figure that's enough to be getting on with for the first few weeks without having to wash nappies too!

Yay for fluff! Also see if your local council do a real nappy scheme. Some do vouchers or trials. Every little helps!

id definitely get some sposies for 1st few weeks, because you're getting into a routine and also because even small sized nappies might be too big!

Abigail was 7lb5 at birth and she was weighed last week and is still under 8lbs and shes 4 weeks old. Iv tried her ittis on her and we STILL hav gaping legs which = leaks

Iv got a whole stash of BtP (birth-to-potty) nappies which just drown her.

But id definitely reccomend some sized nappies- like ittis, swaddlebees, fuzzi bunz, blueberry side snaps come sized as well....WeeNotions are also available in small as these are custom nappies.

Id say try out a few, maybe buy 1 of each brand if u can as some brands suit your baby's shape as sometimes others find they just cant find the right fit on their bubs!

Definitely come into the natural parenting section, theres tonnes of info on wat to choose to suit you......fabrics (bamboo, hemp, microfibre), poppers or aplix, AIO OR AI2 (all-in-ones or all-in-two's), brands, prices and just loooads of great advice/experience!

I'm using disposables for 2 weeks and probably half and half for another couple of weeks after that.
