31 Week appointment. For those with an ice obsession.

Hello ladies.. Had my 31 week appointment today. All is well. MW said LO has a lovely strong heartbeat and she's going to be a long baby lol. She's now lying transverse but I'm not worried.. Got ages yet!!!... Also had to have more blood test's because the last MW I saw didn't label my bloods properly so I didn't get the right test's done

I also asked her about the whole ice thing.. And she said it's nothing to worry about. The amount of ice won't affect or hurt the baby as it's warmed up by the time it get's there anyway lol. But she did say that it sounds like Anaemia so not to be surprised if I get a phonecall in the next couple of days or a prescription through the post for Iron tablets.. Like she said it's nothing to worry about but I've seen quite a few ladies on here with the same need for ice so thought I would just post to let you know that it might be worth mentioning to you're MW incase you haven't already

I had a horrible Ice obsession for my first son who is now 5. It was because I was terribly anemic. Don't ask me how being anemic equates to wanting to obsessivley eat ice all day long. **Shruggss**

I was so obsessive about ice, and was put onto iron tablets.

Unfortanately I still needed a blood transfusion after my son was born because of the extent of the anemia.

Just make sure you get lots of iron.

I was wondering where my ice obsession was coming from.. and it kinda adds up as I've been struggling with my iron levels in this pregnancy. Maybe I should get back on the iron tablets.

There are definitely quite a few of us with ice obsessions! hehe. I think mine is just purely a craving for no reason as my blood levels have been within margin the whole way through. Its good to know im not freezing bubs every day with my ice consumption though!!
