THREE babies?

I was at the grocery store with DH last night and we were looking at some meat. We were debating what size package we would need to cover two meals (frickin beef is so expensive now!) and trying to find the least expensive one. An older lady walks over and starts looking through the case too. When DH picked up a HUGE package and asked if it was the right size, I looked at him and went, "We totally do NOT need that much meat!". The older lady turns, looks at the meat, looks at my bump and says, "Yes you do, you're eating for FOUR, right?" Four? FOUR? NO! There is only ONE baby in here, thank you VERY much! FOUR?!?!? I just sorta half-smiled (or tried to), shook my head and said, "Nope, just one, thank goodness!" and walked away. DH was staring at her with his jaw dropped like he couldn't believe she'd said that to me...I think he thought I was going hit her or something. I kinda wanted to give her a piece of my mind. I don't think I'm that big! (recent pic in the bump thread). CERTAINLY not big enough to be carrying 3-4children! Sheesh! At least she didn't TOUCH me I guess! I kinda wanted to cry though...I felt like a cow.

Oh hun, I am sorry. I find that peoples comments on how big a bump is really pisses me off. WTF do people think is going to happen when you have a full size baby in there? Seriously, my Dad made a comment this weekend about how big I had gotten, so I looked at him and told him, YEAH, there is about a 6 lbs. baby in there. Personally I think people need to shut the F up if they have a comment other than 'hey you look fab!'

I applaud you for not popping her or saying something crass in return. In my hormonal state, I don't think I could have been so restrained.
