Does baby being really low mean engaged?

My dr said today, the baby's head is extremely low, do you think that means he's engaged yet? Or is that something totally different? I dont get this whole engaged thing, the 4/5 or whatever.

My midwife said to me at my appointment last week that baby is really low down - she has also said he's engaged. So I would assume they are the same if not a very similar thing

I'm 2/5, meaning that he has one station to go until fully engaged She said this normally doesn't happen until labour though x Hope that helps

Im having my third baby and i have been feeling lots of pressure and as if a big heavy bowling ball will fall out when im walking around.
My midwife says my baby isnt engaged, but obviously when youve had children the muscles down there have allready been stretched and are not as supportive as they once were.Im not expecting the baby to come any sooner, just to get more uncomfortable

I know just how your feeling. This is baby number 4 for me,and at times it really does feel like he is just going to fall out. I have a really heavy feeling in my pelvis and other times i find it really hard to breath. I think its the way baby lays sometimes too. Im getting more uncomfortable with every day that goes by too. Big for you sweetie.

my MW said that whilst my baby is "firmly" head down, baby is still quite "high" up and not currently engaged. So no, I don't think low means engaged.

My baby is 2/5 enaged, so nearly fully engaged. But my bump is so high still! It hasn't dropped at all! x
