I'm Currently Feeling: | I am perfectly happy to get induced - i am going to be a state waiting for this little one to come. I am going to be so scared of what will happen after he is born. Maybe the diabetes will help me get what i want!
I can see me being so frightened of finally knowing and the surgery, that i will want to keep him in for protection!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Cupcake its quite normal for your sugar levels to go up as your pregnancy progresses, nothing to worry about at all, your health care provider will adjust your insulin to meet your needs, and usually towards the end of the pregnancy you will have a drop in your sugar levels, so its important to test regularly, and if you start getting any signs of hypo, i.e sweating, shaking, feeling dizzy, check your sugar levels again to be on the safe side
Emmea.....sounds like you have found food types that are going to bring your levels down, if you carry on like this you will not need insulin, which is fantastic for you. Better if you can get controll through diet alone.
In the UK they dont let you go over 39 weeks as a diabetic mum, due to the placenta, and also big babies, although my baby is bang on target, but I am still going in at 38+6 to be delivered.
This is also why they do weekly scans, so they can check fluid levels and also that the placenta is still working as it should be.
I am due in next Friday to have baby, but still have to go in for my weekly scan on Tuesday, I wont have to see the consultant though if all is well.
I dont know how it all works in other countries though, so if you are outside the UK check with your midwife. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thank you! I had a scrummy lunch and afterwards my sugar levels were still 5.5, so i had half a brownie - which didnt affect my levels at all, so i finished it off! yay!!!!
Scrambled eggs went down a treat - almost didnt as I dropped the egg box on the floor and smashed them all! doh!
39 weeks! Woo hoo! Everyone seems to be going away the week he is due - so they might get to see him afterall!
Next Friday? Wow! only a week away! You must be starting to get excited! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sounds like you are doing a fab job with your sugar levels, I forgot to say earlier that you are allowed to eat light yoghurt, my fave at the mo is Muller light, and it dosent affect my levels at all, and also satisfies any sweet craving I have
YeahI am looking forward to next Friday, I have a busy week, scan Tues, pre op appointment on Wed, have to go in on Thurs night then section on Fri, in amongst all that I have a 6yr old running around, mind you I cant complain as she is really good and no trouble at all I just hope this one is just like her. |
