I'm Currently Feeling: | Should I be worried or is this normal? Normally my LO has a really good sleep/wake pattern. He normally is awake just before I get out of bed at 8am and spends an hour wriggling around & then does the same while I'm in the shower and when I put on my bio oil afterwards.
Today though he has been really quiet. He didn't move at all till gone 10am and then it was just a couple of hardly noticable wriggles. He's been moving since but they're still really tiny movements.
I had a bit of a busy day yesterday so I don't know if that could have affected him?
I'm not sure but I think he's also changed position in my belly because his bum is much more central today and for the last couple of months it's been sticking out my side. There's also a foot where before there wasn't.
I've heard that they can slow down just before labour but I think I'm still a bit early for that? I'm only 37+3 & I feel fine. I don't have any other signs of labour being any time soon.
Unfortunatly I still don't have a midwife to call (I see her on Wednesday) so I don't really know what to do. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | My baby has quiet days and you just can't help but worry, the next day he's always back to his usual active self.. So maybe he is just having a bit of a lazy day..
Do you have a doppler to check on baby to put your mind at rest?
I would always trust your instincts, if you feel something is wrong, pop along to the hospital and they can give you and baby a check over.. theres normally a telephone number on your notes.. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I do have a doppler but since I'm still feeling the odd movemement (especially when I poke him enough) I haven't bothered using it yet. Unfortunatly my notes are all for the wrong hospital but I'm sure I could get the number for the hospital here. I'll see how today goes and if he wakes up a bit later. He does have his quiet days too but he hasn't been this quite, to the point of me hardly feeling him for at least 12 weeks now. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | my baby also has quieter days and more active ones. you have to feel about 15 or so movements in a day so keep an eye on it. sit down for half an hour in the afternoon and count and in the evening and count, if you dont feel 5 movement while sitting for half an hour then dont panic but just keep an eye out for them for the next couple of hours. this is what the doctor told me to do. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine has quiet days. I am sure yours is just moving into position. If his butt is sticking out front then his legs are kicking towards your back - I can never feel his kicks when he lies like that. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | My LO has quiet days too depending what position she's in. You tend to feel less movement during the last few weeks anyway x | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks everyone. Well since I've posted this he has been wriggling about a bit again. He must be laying in a very strange position. | | | | Status: Offline
