Hi ladies,

I am trying to get my LO to engage further - what should I be doing with my birthing ball??

Is just bouncing ok or should I be rocking/rolling??!!

Ideally your hips should be higher than your knees...

You can either just sit on it, rock your hips back and forth or side to side (or in a figure of 8) or gently bounce- very slight movement though is all that's needed x

thanks for this. My baby, whilst in head down position in my pelvis, is not engaged and still quite high up, so today I received my ball and am at a loss as to what to do heheheh although, pumping it up may be a good start

Sorry to gatecrash and sound a bit dumb...

I've got a Adidas gym ball (very dusty in the loft from lack of use!!) Will this do the same job when I need it?

Thanks

LMAO! I'm gonna wait for my husband to get home from work to pump it as I don't have the strength...I imagine it'll be flying round the flat tonight!!

I tried using mine a few times but it just makes me sore and makes my hips hurt A LOT. Be careful to start off easy and work your way up to more each day... it seems to exercise a few muscles that don't get worked with other activities.
