Doctor says it's normal but this pressure/pain is SO intense!

So I've talked to my doctor about this about a week ago and again a couple days ago (and he said it was normal and all was OK though he thinks baby may come soon) but I just don't remember feeling it so intensely with my first 2. From my belly button down I have so much pressure that it hurts SO bad. My back hurts the worst from it when I'm sitting (really feeling like someone is putting a knife in it and twisting it) and when I walk my lower tummy hurts so much from the pressure that I have to walk *really* slowly and leaning forward. Standing up straight isn't an option and I just can't do that at all. It's kinda like I did a thousand pelvic tilts or something and the muscles are burning and sore.

Has anyone else had this? I'm not having any bleeding and have had just a little loss of my mucous plug over the last week. (wasn't nearly enough to be all of it) I have occasional contractions but nothing regular... had a bunch all night last night and thought it might be early stages of labor but it fizzled out this morning. I've had 2 warm baths today with no relief and can't find any position to sit in that doesn't hurt. I'm getting to the end of my rope with it and am having a lot of trouble handling the pain. All the doctor says is "take tylenol." Tylenol is entirely useless.

I sort of know how you feel. When I get out of bed in the morning I have extreme pressure from my hips downwards and sometimes shooting pains in my groin. Sometimes get it too if I'm stood up alot.
Can constantly feel pressure there though and it's uncomfortable, experiencing cramp type pains alot today too but hoping that means I don't have long to go.

It's just really getting me depressed thinking that it may get even worse before baby comes. It almost feels like I'm having one very very very long contraction that never eases up. When I have an actual contraction I can't tell very easy when it starts and stops because there is so much pain already that it sort of blends in with it even when it's a strong one. I may call the doctor yet again tomorrow and see if he will check things and make sure all is still Ok. I am starting to think the baby is getting so big my body can't handle it. Judging by the last scan a week ago, he would now be about the size my first 2 were at birth so anything past this is new territory for me.

I feel the pressure on my pubis area is immense. Just putting my feet on the floor this morning was painful and that was without any real body weight bearing down. Sitting is uncomfortable, laying down is uncomfortable. And I have 6 weeks to go.
