I'd imagine most car seats will fit in a roomy family car like that. Halfords are good for fitting them though and have a list of ones that will fit.

I'm going for maxi cosi as they have good reviews but they are one of the most expensive I suppose xxx

We are going for maxi cosi cabrio fix too and family fix base (which is iso fix). The base, will see you through until about 4 years old, but the car seat only about 12 months. Found one on amazon for about 99 pounds, but the base is about 140 ... wow !

thanks ladies.
we wizzed to mothercare earlier for a mooch. tried a britax one and a maxi cosi. they only had 5 seats in total to try out which i thought wasnt very many compared to online.
the maxi cosi was a better fit for the seat belt length than the britax. gonna try M&P tomorrow as a friend has just offered me theirs.
i thought our car was a decent size but we cant fit a group 0 and a group 1 and a booster seat across the back seat. Good job DD1 is sooo close to the height limit so she wont need her booster. also if there are 2 seats fitted, i have found out online, she doesnt have to legally have a booster.

I've been really happy with Romer, it's the European version of Britax.

We've bought a Jane Strata. We used this website for advice:
http://www.carseatinfo.co.uk/

Also got a really good deal from Mothercare as they had it on special on line offer for £140, got a 10% discount and free P&P so we paid £126 instead of £165.

i have had a quick look at that site, cant find any info about the company other than they are a registered co. they claim to have over 20 years in the business doing various things but never heard of them.
for a company that claim to know so much about car seats they have failed to mention rear facing for longer is safer, and they have quoted the law incorrectly

i would recommend sticking to halfords or mothercare or any other known reputable company fr help with your car seats x
