Birthing Ball

Ok so I'm apparently 3/5th engaged and should keep using my ball but I'm not sure exactly what I should be doing.

Can someone explain in laymans terms what I should do? ie: bounce, rock, where do I sit, how do I sit? I know it sounds stupid but I REALLY dont want another CS and I've only got 16 days to give birth before I have to have one.

Sit on it instead of the couch or a chair. Sit open legged and gyrate, rock or bounce. It's about opening the pelvic area so the head can move down easily. If you thin about how you sit normally with your legs closed and possibly with not very good posture the baby isnt in a great position for moving down. Opening the pelvis and using gravity to assist optimal positioning is the basic idea.
And when a ball isnt available you can sit backwards on a regular dining chair a la Britney Spears

Also make sure that your ball is not too squishy - you want to inflate it enough that your hips are slightly higher than your knees but that you can still put your feet flat on the ground for stability.

Happy bouncing

Right ok then so I need to blow my ball a little more then cos my fat arse has deflated it and my hips aren't higher than my knees! lol

I always sit with my legs really far apart on these (dance classes have helped with this! lol) so the idea is to just move on it, not just sit on it. I can do that!

Is it normal when I get up to not be able to close my legs properly without it being sore?

My hubby blows mine up himself even though we have a pump....I think it makes him feel more manly.... Your pelvis will be softening so yes you'll feel it when you get off!
