Maternity Leave. How long are you taking?

I know most in third tri have only just started mat leave or are yet to start it so going back to work is the last thing on your minds but i'm just curious how long you intend to take?

I'm planning on returning to work shortly after my babys first birthday. I hope I don't have to go back any sooner than this *fingers crossed*

at best 1yr, fingers crossed we can afford it. if not probably somewhere between 6-8 months.

Im hopefully taking a year.I started mine on 1st March so due back same time next year unless I need to go back early for money which I hope I wont have to.

I'm not going back, but I will be entering pastures new by January 2011 at the latest. We can't afford to live on one wage.

I'm taking a year as well. When I frst made the arrangements I had a few worries about money but was determined to take as long as I could. x

I'm taking six months mat leave, then my husband is taking six months to look after the baby (my salary is higher).

Im not sure yet. I planned on taking 9 months with my first but ended up going back after 3 months!

Id like to take about 6 months but OH thinks I should take a year. Im just gonna see how it goes I think

I'm taking 9 months + a couple weeks holiday before and after so should be off for about 10 months in total.

I go back Dec 13th happy with that to be honest as had 8 months sick before birth so long time off
