I feel like my body is shutting down!


I've been so poorly the last couple of weeks.
  • The week before last I had awful morning sickness (I have it everyday anyway, but it was the worst it's been in AGES.)
  • Last week I had a horrible cold and didn't sleep properly for days.
  • This past Wednesday night/Thursday morning I had sickness and diarrhea.
  • And this morning I've woken up with a horrible swollen throat, a slight temperature, snuffly nose again and just feel generally run down.

Is there anything I can do to stop my body from giving up on me?! I just hope Littlebug's ok and getting everything s/he needs from me.

Get some vitamin C&D down you sweetie, ive a terrible diet only eat once a day and known to pick up any bug going but got some C&D vits through this prenancy and havnt had any colds or illness etc xx

Try and up your intake of fresh fruit and veg. Baby is drawing A LOT on you right now and getting everything it needs.. which is in turn making you feel drained. Also keep hydrated. I also find if you wash your hands regularly, especially if you've been out in public, shopping etc... it'll keep the bugs at bay.

I'm pretty sure baby is getting everything needed from you but in turn, as was mentioned, it leaves you super drained and therefore more susceptible to feeling down and out when otherwise your immune system would help pop you back up again a lot sooner. I hope you feel better soon; my best thoughts are to just take it easy, get lots of rest, drink water, eat as well as you can when you can eat, and generally be good to yourself! Hope it passes for you sooner than later!

Thanks guys, I've just rested up today and my temperature's on it's way up. Eaten lots of fruit to try and up my intake of vit c and will make sure hubby looks after me this weekend! I'm looking forward to feeling like me again.

Aww hun i feel the same too. Had a cold that lasted 4 weeks, gone for a week and then woke up this morning full of a cold again!! Hope you feel better soon! x
